The week started off with a road trip to Littlefield, Texas. Some 355 miles from West Fork Village in Irving, Texas. My sister picked me up at 9 AM. We were in Lubbock about 2:30 PM.
The occassion was the wedding of my Grand Neice, Linda to John. She had nine briadsmaids. Her father and grandfather gave her away. The wedding was held outside infront of a waterfall.
The reception was in the same location and inside. All of my sister from Lubbock children came and many of the grandcnildren and great grandchildren.
I spent the night with my nephew, while my sister spent the night with our sister. Monday morning, we all gathered at my nephew's house for breakfast which he made for us. It was very good.
From there we went to Rhineland and visited with my step-mother and two of her five children. From there we got back on the road to Irving and West Fork Village. After a brief look at our fish tank my sister went on to Garland and her daughter's house where she now resides.
On Tuesday we had drum class in the morning and signed birtday cards for all those having birthdays in September. On Wednessday we had Bible Study.
On Thursday we had drum class in the afternoon. We had Health Hive with Monica about Brain Power. Than we learned about Classical Music. Friday, there was a wine and cheese social and the day ended with movie night, where we saw Twister.
Staurday, Deacon Patrick and his wife picked me up and we attended Mass at Saint Luke's. I also did confession and we recited the rosary.
All in all a very busy and memorable week. The dance is on the 17th and the Residence Varity Show is on the 26th. Both at 6PM and both open to the public so come and enjoy.
All this at West Fork Village, "Where Seniors Theive."
